After a long time of searching for good quality pure soy Candles I was delighted find Emma’s Eco-Soy Candles.
These Candles are handmade in Ireland and fragranced with only pure Essential Oils. I try to use Soy Candles as they are the healthy alternative to the ordinary candles that you buy in stores that are packed full of chemical fragrance that you then spend the day breathing in and can have carcinogenic properties.
Emma’s Soy Candles contain no Paraffin, no parabens, no artificial dyes or fragrances. Each candle is fragranced with pure essential oils only. The fact that the wax is cleaner burning compared to paraffin wax is not the only benefits to using these candles as Soya wax burns for 30-50% longer too.
I absolutely love Candles and I was very excited when I received two samples from Emma’s, a lemongrass fragranced tin Candle and a Wax Tart Melt with a Neroli Fusion Fragrance.
The smell when I opened the packaging was simply divine and I hadn’t even lit the candle yet. The fragrance when lit was wonderfully rich but not overpowering at all. It was a clean and sweet yet zesty, a very fresh and invigorating scent.
This small tin’s aroma did not only fill the whole bedroom but I could even get the scent downstairs!
The tin candles are supposed to last for up to 20 hours and I was looking at the little tin wondering if that was possible considering its small size so I decided to perform my own little experiment timing the candle from start to finish each time I would light it.
This candle definitely showed me size doesn’t matter because not only did it last the full 20 hours, it kept its amazing scent all the way to the end and it never seemed to lesson.
Unlike wax paraffin candles when I blew this one out the smoke was white and disappeared quickly. Not only this but it doesn’t make you choke or cause you any harm if you inhale it. One thing I noticed when I blew this candle out is the smell kind of reminded me of fried rice.
The Wax tart melt is a blend of Neroli Blossom, sweet orange oils and a touch of Lavender. To use this I placed it in my oil burner with a tea light underneath. You do not need to add water with these melts.
The scent of the melt was beautifully floral like a fresh bouquet of flowers. Just like the candle its scent provides a soothing and calming environment. These scents would be wonderful for an office of study area as it would definitely help relax the mind.
Another feature I love is the container for the Wax Tart melt is completely biodegradable too and can be composted. The tins and Glass tumblers that are also available can be cleaned and reused or recycled.
I was very impressed by these products and definitely plan on using them at home. I love the fact that they are far healthier than Wax Paraffin as well as being a way to create a relaxing atmosphere with Essential Oils. You do get your monies worth considering how long they last and the top quality of the product.
I would highly recommend switching to Soy candles for health reasons especially if you are someone who loves to fill the house with candles like myself.
One thing I would like to note is that the Candle tin gets very hot so please be sure to place your candle on a suitable base.
I would definitely recommend Emma’s Soy candles as they seem to have all the qualities of a top Soy product. There is a good variety of fragrances available which I have listed below and they are hoping to launch a new fragrance each spring YAY!! Jasmine is one of my favourite scents hint! hint!
